MUNICH (FIBA Europe Cup) - Donar Groningen have inserted themselves firmly into second spot in Group B following a Tuesday night tip-off to buzzer tug-of-war 79-74 victory over Kormend.
It took 13 lead changes, but with Jason Dourisseau and Lance Jeter combining for 15 points in the final frame, it would eventually be the home side prevailing as Kormend managed to only score 13 points in the same time period.
It was a downtown shooting clinic for the Dourisseau-Jeter duo, who were 9-of-16 together from outside the arc, finishing with 22 and 25 points respectively. The latter also picked up 9 boards.
Groningen now improve to 2-1 whilst Kormend drop to 1-2.

Donar winning at home was something of an anomaly on Tuesday, with the other three games going in favour of the visitors.
Siauliai's campaigns at home and in Europe continued to stutter, the latest loss for the Lithuanian side a heavy 108-90 Group J loss to visiting Pardubice.
"We played terrible defence," reflected Siauliai head coach Vaidas Pauliukenas following the game. "We did not have our full lineup because of injuries, but that is no excuse. We did not manage to execute our defensive tasks and our offence just was not enough."
Nanterre took full control of Group D, picking up their third win in as many games, thanks to Chris Warren's 19 points to propel them past Antwerp Giants 78-69.
Finally, over in Group E there was a straighforward win for Pau-Lacq-Orthez in Austria as they took down their hosts Redwell-Gunners-Oberwart 81-66.
