    Key Storylines

    - Unbeaten duo and title favorites France and Spain head into the Round of 16 with a perfect three wins.

    - Montenegro and Czech Republic are up and rolling after they claimed their first respective victories of the competition.


    - Hosts Lithuania will hope it's fourth time lucky on Wednesday as they're the only nation still searching for a first win.


    Top Performers

    Julia Franquin produced the highest  performance efficiency rating of the third day of action with 29. She recorded a superb 25 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists, although it was not enough to prevent Belgium from falling 76-68 to Italy.

    Her Belgium teammate Nastja Claessens probably also felt the defeat was hard to stomach, since she stepped off the court with a big double-double of 19 points and 10 rebounds as well as grabbing 5 steals and handing out 4 assists. 

    It also proved to be a bitter-sweet day for Ines Bettencourt who propelled Portugal with 19 points, 6 assists and 5 rebounds against Israel, but they went down in an 81-74 loss. 

    Lucie Ceralova was the player most influential in getting Czech Republic their first victory of the competition as she amassed a smart 12 points. 9 rebounds, 7 assists and 3 steals against Serbia. 

    Vanesa Jasa still holds the hot-hand and starred for Latvia with 23 points, 6 rebounds and 5 steals as they beat Turkey.
