They will be propelled once again by Zala Friskovec and Aleksandra Kroselj, who were both impressive in Matosinhos as Slovenia posted their best-ever women’s youth result.

Friskovec has been turning heads with her performances and could yet attract interest from WNBA clubs in the 2019 draft, off the back of her mature performances in Portugal last summer.

Kroselj will be looking to bring the noise in the backcourt, with the guard having pulled the strings alongside Friskovec at the FIBA U18 Women's European Championship 2017 which was also held in Sopron.
Unlike last year, senior women's coach Damir Grgic won’t be holding the reins and it will be up to Predrag Radovic to try and continue his nation’s impressive momentum of late.
Slovenia will go up against Germany, Russia and Serbia in Group A.
