Defending champions Spain once again showed their love for the second-half as they shrugged off being tied with Lithuania to ride to a convincing 99-83 triumph as Maria Conde starred with an all-action 19 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists.
Belgium silenced the locals in Matosinhos as they produced a sensational 67-42 victory to sail into the Quarter-Finals at the expense of Portugal. Laura Henket excelled with 15 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists, while Laure Resimont was also superb with 23 points and 7 rebounds.
France guaranteed themselves a top-eight finish as they made a late surge to see off Netherlands 74-63 thanks mainly to Maeva Djaldi-Tabdi. The forward produced one of the most impressive displays of the competition with 19 points and 18 boards. Lisa Berkani also dropped 20 points.
Elizaveta Shabanova was also on form as her 21 points and 13 rebounds took Russia to a 91-65 win against Bosnia and Herzegovina. Agnes Studer was once again on fire as her 24 points, 8 assists and 6 rebounds took Hungary past Serbia 86-72.
Slovenia jumped out on Turkey and never looked back as they eased to an 80-65 triumph, while Latvia also posted a blistering opening salvo to shoot down Poland 66-39.
While Thursday brings the Quarter-Finals, the eight nations who suffered defeats will start their Classification 9-16 games as they look to seal their survival in the top-flight.
