MATOSINHOS (FIBA U20 Women's European Championship) - Spain retained their crown at the FIBA U20 Women's European Championship with a 73-63 success against first-time Finalists Slovenia to make it six titles in seven editions.

Turning Point: Slovenia were still hanging around early in the last quarter, but Spain snapped the game open when they drained a trio of three-pointers in succession via Maria Cazorla, Clara Che and Maria Araujo. That gave them a double-digit lead at 60-49 and effectively put them out of sight.

Game Hero: Maria Araujo was a tower of strength yet again with a classy double-double of 17 points and 13 rebounds.

Stats Don't Lie: Spain pulled down a staggering 24 offensive rebounds.

In their Words: "The key to the win was our defense which we picked up in the last quarter. I have to give credit to Slovenia as they really are a great team and difficult to play against. It feels special to win the title again and I can't believe it!" - Spain captain, Maria Cazorla.
