Having starred at the event last year in Podgorica when she led the way in both rebounding and assists, Kelava was the most prominent name on the candidate list for this year's edition.

Ana Petrak also made people sit up and take notice with her passing ability, while there is an injection of talent from last year's FIBA U18 Women's European Championship participants.

The player set to make the biggest impact is Josipa Silov who amassed an impressive team-high 13.3 points per game last year in Sopron.

Croatia have been paired against Belarus, Great Britain, Ireland, Israel and Romania in Group B.
