    Final rosters confirmed ahead of FIBA U18 Women's European Championship 2022

    HERAKLION (Greece) - The final rosters of all 16 participating teams at the FIBA U18 Women's European Championship were confirmed on the eve of the tournament which tips off in Heraklion on August 6.

     

    HERAKLION (Greece) - The final rosters of all 16 participating teams at the FIBA U18 Women's European Championship were confirmed on the eve of the tournament which tips off in Heraklion, on the Greek island of Crete, on August 6.

    Group A: Italy, Poland, Spain, Turkey
    Group B: Belgium, Czech Republic, Greece, Latvia
    Group C: Finland, Hungary, Lithuania, Sweden
    Group D: Bosnia and Herzegovina, France, Germany, Israel

    The Group Phase comprises of four groups of four teams each, and will be played in a round-robin format, from Saturday until Monday. 

    On Wednesday, all contenders will move to the Round of 16, which is the first round of the knockout phase. The teams which competed in Group A will cross over with those from Group B, while the ones from Group C will do likewise with the teams from Group D.

    The Quarter-Finals are scheduled for Thursday with the Semi-Finals set to take place on Saturday, followed by the Third-Place Game and the Final on Sunday, August 14. You can watch all games, live and for free, on YouTube.com/FIBA.

    Meanwhile, the FIBA U18 Women's European Championship Division B tournament is already underway in Sofia, Bulgaria with teams competing this weekend to gain promotion to the top tier.
