SOPRON (FIBA U18 Women's European Championship) - Players at the FIBA U18 Women's European Championship attended a workshop on Friday's rest day to discuss finding a balance between basketball and education.

The workshop, which was run by Hungarian national team captain Zsofia Fegyverneky and FIBA European special projects coordinator Betty Cebrian, encouraged group participation, with the players showing a remarkable level of English.

Taking place with eight groups at a time, the key topics were how to balance basketball and education, correct time management, goal-setting, and how to properly manage the people in the players' lives, from family, friends, agents and coaches.

Following some early apprehension, the players began to open up, showing a high level of willingness to participate in the discussion.

FIBA is undertaking similar workshops at numerous youth championships around the globe this summer, including the FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup, both for men and women.

In Europe, the next workshop will take place in Podgorica, Montenegro at the FIBA U16 European Championship on August 17.
