    Preview

Sopron (FIBA U18 European Championship 2017) - Defending champions France and tournament favorites Spain clash in a heavyweight Quarter-Final game on Day 5.

Sopron (FIBA U18 European Championship 2017) - Defending champions France and tournament favorites Spain will battle in the showpiece Quarter-Final game on Day 5.

Unbeaten Spain have not been pushed in the tournament, while conversely an inconsistent France needed a come-from-behind effort to get past Russia in the Round of 16.

Similar to Spain, hosts Hungary have cruised through to the Quarter-Finals but should be tested against a talented Belgium, who squeezed past Lithuania in the Round of 16.

Unbeaten surprise package, Czech Republic, will face a tricky match-up against a confident Sweden riding the hot hand of scoring machine Klara Lundquist - the tournament's leading scorer.

Meanwhile, Serbia and Slovenia will clash in the Quarter-Finals after both teams caused memorable upsets on Day 4.

In Classification 9-16 action, Italy will look to shrug aside the disappointment of losing to Slovenia when they play Latvia. Similarly, Russia will be determined to atone for letting slip a lead over France when they play winless Turkey.

Greece plays Bosnia and Herzegovina, while Croatia takes on Lithuania in the other games.
