    Mojca Jelenc collects MVP award as All-Star Five is revealed

    SOFIA (Bulgaria) - Mojca Jelenc was named MVP at the FIBA U16 Women's European Championship 2019, Division B after helping lead Slovenia to the title.

    SOFIA (Bulgaria) - Mojca Jelenc was named MVP at the FIBA U16 Women's European Championship 2019, Division B after helping lead Slovenia to the title.

    An impressive double-double in the Final helped her side overcome Portugal and Jelenc boosted her tournament averages to 10.9 points, 6.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game.

    Despite missing out on the title, Portugal's Ana Barreto joined Jelenc in the All-Star Five having led her team with 12.4 points per outing including a personal best of 20 points in the Group Phase.

    Emma Rinat, of Israel, was the tournament's second leading scorer with 20.3 points per game having fired in 30+ points on two separate occasions.

    Also making the lineup were Croatia's Dorja Iva Zaja - with the forward averaging a double-double for the bronze medalists - and Karyn Sanford as she posted 12.8 points and 3.8 assists for Norway, who finished fourth.
