Top Performers
The top performance on the first day of the knockout stages went to Derin Can Ustun, who came off the bench for an efficiency of 32 but could not keep Turkey from losing to Lithuania. Miikka Muurinen had a big game for Finland with a 28 efficiency although it came in a loss to Greece. He poured in a tournament high 32 points as he made 12-of-28 shots and 5-of-5 free throws. Muurinen also picked up 9 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and 5 blocks.
France rolled to a win over Montenegro and the leading force was Adam Atamna with an efficiency of 26 off the bench. He picked up 21 points on an efficient 7-of-9 shots and hit all 6 free throws and also had 2 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal and 2 blocks.
Diego Garavaglia of Italy also produced a 26 efficiency in his team's win over Belgium. He tallied 17 points on 7-of-9 shots, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks.
