GYOR (EuroLeague Women) – Fenerbahce preserved their unbeaten start to the EuroLeague Women season but had to survive a major scare against Cargo CMB Uni Gyor as they squeezed out a 66-64 road win.
In the only game to be played after a busy night of action 24 hours earlier, the Turkish side had to work hard to see off the hosts and move to 3-0.

The game was hanging in the balance until the last second as Gyor missed an opportunity to end their lengthy losing streak in European club competitions as they failed to make the shot needed to force overtime.
It was Sandrine Gruda who did most of the damage as she posted a smart 15 points and 7 boards for Fenerbahce, while Zofia Hruscakova had a double-double of 10 points and 14 boards in defeat.
While Gyor’s slide continues, they will take pride from almost taking down one of the favourites in the competition.
