    Fenerbahce were made to sweat by Perfumerias Avenida before they eventually posted a strong finish in Istanbul to take an 87-80 victory - with Anastasiya Verameyenka contributing some great work on the offensive glass. 

    "It has been a very hard Quarter-Finals for us," said the Belarusian ace after her team made it to the last phase of the competition.

    "But we are an even better team [than we showed] and now we are going to the Final Four, I think that we deserved it."

    Her words were echoed by head coach, George Dikeoulakos who added: "Avenida are a very good team, but we deserved the win and to go to the Final Four.

    "We did a very good job and especially in defense."

    As for Avenida, they had to just accept that while they played very well, they were edged out by the slightly better team.

    "Fenerbahce are one of the best teams in Europe," said Spanish forward Laura Quevedo who scored 13 points after going five-of-six coming off the bench.

    "But, we played very well for this round and we just have to give out congratulations to them."

    There was also disappointment for Nadezhda head coach, Roberto Iniguez whose injury-hit side were unable to make a fairy-tale return back to the Final Four after losing 70-57 against ZVVZ USK Prague.

    He stated: "Not all our players were in good shape as Amanda Zahui arrived from Prague with an injury [so did not play], while Tiffany Mitchell played with a broken nose.

    "Of course I am upset that we could not reach the Final Four, but there were objective reasons.

    ...

    "We gradually lost energy and could not cope with Candice Dupree and Sonja Petrovic.

    "But all the same, I am proud of my team," he added.

    ZVVZ USK Prague and Fenerbahce will now join reigning champions UMMC Ekaterinburg and Dynamo Kursk in the Final Four next month.
