MUNICH (EuroLeague Women) - We catch up with some of those involved in Week 12 of the Regular Season and take a look at how the action went down on social media.
The week started off with another huge victory for UMMC Ekaterinburg as they made it 11 straight wins by beating ESBVA-LM 91-69. It witnessed Emma Meesseman going up against her former club and impressing with a nice shooting effort.
She said: "I think we had a decent game as we showed both good defense and offense.
"We started a little bit slow, but later we were able to put the game under our control. We knew we could play and we showed it, so it turned out good for us," added the center.
Meanwhile in just one of many nice promo graphics we saw via #EuroLeagueWomen this week, there was this one of another UMMC star in Alba Torrens.
There was also a great graphic used by ZVVZ USK Prague ahead of their game against Dynamo Kursk. Although you could probably be justified in saying the artwork was more impressive than the team's display as they crashed 73-49.
There was plenty of Spanish representation on both teams and while Marta Xargay lost out on the court, she did win our hearts by putting up a cute photo of when she was just a kid! Guess it took minds away from the performance of Prague!
The crunch game of the week was probably Beretta Famila Schio outlasting BLMA by 70-53 to keep their hopes of a Quarter-Final place alive as they drew level at 6-6 with their only other challengers for the last ticket in Group A.
And, they were also given credit by a former employee in Elodie Godin who may have been on the losing side, but was honest enough to confess Montpellier were second best.
She said: "Playing in Schio always has a sweet taste and I spent two years there which I will never forget.
"There's nothing more to say than we played really badly - but I think that was due to Schio playing a great game!"
Next up, here's a question - what do you do when you are an opponent playing Perfumerias Avenida in Spain?
The answer to that is normally 'lose' at Pabellon Wurzburg - alongside making sure you get a picture in the famous Plaza in Salamanca! And, Uniqa Sopron ticked both of the usual boxes this week.
