MUNICH (EuroCup Women) - For the first time in the history of EuroCup Women, all four Semi-Finalists will come from the same country, with Turkish clubs taking out all of the Quarter-Final clashes, which concluded on Friday evening.
Yakin Dogu Universitesi play Galatasaray, whilst Hatay will take on Bellona AGU in the home-and-away Semi-Finals, which will be played on March 21, with the return leg on March 24.
In the respective Semi-Finals, Galatasaray came back from a first-leg loss to prevail over Good Angels Kosice 144-139 on aggregate; Hatay won both legs over Wisla Can-Pack to finish with an aggregate score of 146-133; Bellona Agu cruised by BLMA 158-133; whilst Yakin Dogu Universitesi became the fourth and final team to wrap up their spot, with a 141-128 aggregate score win over ESBVA-LM.
Yakin Dogu Universitesi will play the second leg of their clash at home, on account of being higher seeded than Galatasaray, at the end of the EuroCup Women Regular Season. In the second Semi-Final, home court advantage goes to EuroCup Women Regular Season participants Bellona AGU, over Hatay, who joined the competition from EuroLeague Women at the Quarter-Final stage.
