MUNICH (Germany) - There was another momentous night in EuroLeague Women as Virtus Segafredo Bologna claimed their first ever Regular Season victory.
Their historic accomplishment came in the shape of an 88-69 road win against the previously unbeaten BC Polkowice. The Italians snapped the game open either side of the half-time break as they jumped into the driving seat with a run sparked by successive triples from Ivana Dojkic. The Croatian guard eventually poured in 24 points to pace a famous win.
Polkowice looked a pale shadow of the team that had picked up wins against Fenerbahce and Olympiacos, although Steph Mavunga was still her usual self after amassing a double-double of 14 points and 13 rebounds.
Fenerbahce Alagoz Holding finally got up and running with their first success after easing out Olympiacos S.F.P 95-89, although a shaky last quarter witnessed their opponents launch a late rescue bid. The game looked done and dusted until the Greek visitors poured in 29 points in the last 10 minutes to threaten a sensational comeback.
Natasha Howard continued to shine with 23 points and 7 rebounds, while Kayla McBride scored 22 points, as the hosts struggled with just 3 of 21 from downtown. Megan Gustafson erupted again with 30 points and 10 rebounds in defeat, Aina Ayuso handed out 11 assists and Evdokia Stamati dropped 29 points for the still winless Olympiacos.
CBK Mersin Yenisehir Bld are another Turkish team with a first win on the board at the third attempt after they claimed a hard-fought 68-61 win at Basket Landes, who fall to 0-3 after their late surge to save the game failed.
The French hosts had no answer to the phenomenal Jonquel Jones who showed all of her skills and power to harvest a jaw-dropping 24 points and 19 rebounds to put Landes to the sword.
Teja Oblak was a deal-breaker in the Game of the Week as she came up with two huge clutch plays to help take ZVVZ USK Praha to an absorbing 73-70 win at Tango Bourges Basket. Her actions gave Praha a valuable cushion as Yvonne Anderson missed a couple of opportunities to snatch the game for Bourges in the closing seconds.

However, while Oblak was influential, it was Alyssa Thomas who again brought her 'A Game' in a big way and showed out for Praha with 28 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 steals. The result keeps Praha's perfect record intact, while Bourges tasted defeat for the first time.
There was an extra reason for fans of Valencia Basket Club to smile after their side not only claimed a 74-59 win against Atomeromu-SARR KSC Szekszard, but they also got to see the long awaited and belated debut of Alba Torrens.

The Spanish star had missed out with an injury but finally took to the floor and added 10 points, with Valencia posting a mammoth 26-6 last 10 minutes to pull away from their opponents. Lauren Cox also scored 15 points for the home team.
Sopron Basket are still flawless after they shot down DVTK Hun-Therm 75-65 in an all-Hungarian clash that was lit up by the best display so far of recent Sopron arrival Ezi Magbegor. The Opals' standout finished with a sparkling 18 points and 8 boards - barely missing a shot all night.
With Brittney Sykes impressive again and adding 16 points and 7 assists, it was also Sopron's careful use of the ball which made the difference as they got a grip of the contest with a 24-14 third quarter. Reka Bernath top scored for DVTK with 14 points.
Beretta Famila Schio handed Perfumerias Avenida a wake-up call by completing an eye-catching 71-54 home win. The game swung on some great defensive work from the Italian side who shut down Avenida 21-8 in the third period.
That put them onto the front foot and once ahead, they never looked back, with Marina Mabrey scoring a team-high 16 points and Jasmine Keys collecting a smart double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds. Julie Reisingerova replied with 13 points and 10 boards for Avenida, with both clubs now holding 2-1 records.
