SFANTU GHEORGHE / SCHIO (Romania/Italy) - It proved to be a dramatic and momentous night for KSC Szekszard as they reached the EuroLeague Women Regular Season for the very first time.

The Hungarians needed overtime to wrap up a 63-56 triumph against ACS Sepsi-Sic and write an exciting new chapter. Following on from their victory against Bellona Kayseri Basketbol 24 hours earlier, they got the job done in the extra period and were thankful for their prowess in the paint again.

Pulling down a massive 52 rebounds, it was the frontcourt experience of Cyesha Goree and Sara Krnjic that guided them to victory. The former had 15 points. 8 rebounds and 4 steals, while Krnjic weighed in with a smart 12 points, 8 boards and 4 assists.

The loss was particualrly tough on Brianna Fraser as she dropped a massive 28 points, 7 rebounds and 4 steals in defeat as Sepsi-Sic missed the chance to make their own history in front of the home fans. The result also denied Bellona Kayseri a Regular Season place.

The last Regular Season slot was snapped up by Beretta Famila Schio, who maintained their proud record of continued participation after beating Tango Bourges Basket 69-57. The result inflicted disappointment on the French side - and also the watching Valencia BC.

While Bourges can boast multiple veteran players in their lineup, it was two of Schio's most experienced performers who sealed the deal as Sandrine Gruda and Giorgia Sottana both put up highly influential displays. The duo shared 42 points, with Gruda coming within one rebound of a double-double and Sottana adding 4 boards and 4 assists.
