    EuroLeague Women 2021-22 draw seedings, Qualifying Tournaments hosts announced

    MUNICH (Germany) - FIBA Europe announced on Monday the hosts of the two Qualifiers bubbles as well as the seedings for the draw of the 2021-22 season of EuroLeague Women.

    MUNICH (Germany) - FIBA Europe announced on Monday the seedings for the draw of the 2021-22 season of EuroLeague Women, as well as the hosts of the Qualifiers bubbles.

    The draws for the upcoming EuroLeague Women and EuroCup Women campaigns will be streamed live on the official FIBA YouTube channel on Thursday, August 19, 2021, starting at 11:00 CET.

    A total of 20 clubs registered for the 2021-22 season of women's flagship club competition, with 14 of those awarded a direct place in the Regular Season, which will be played in two groups of eight teams each.

    The seedings, based on the ranking of the club performances in the European Club Competitions in the last three seasons, are as follows for the Regular Season:

    Seed 1: UMMC Ekaterinburg (RUS); Fenerbahce (TUR)
    Seed 2: Dynamo Kursk (RUS); CB Avenida (ESP)
    Seed 3: ZVVZ USK Praha (CZE); Sopron Basket (HUN)
    Seed 4: Spar Girona (ESP); BLMA (FRA)
    Seed 5: TTT Riga (LAT); Galatasaray SK (TUR)
    Seed 6: Umana Reyer Venezia (ITA); Basket Landes (FRA) 
    Seed 7: VBW Arka Gdynia (POL); PBC MBA Moscow (RUS)
    Seed 8: Winner Qualifiers Tournament 1 (Kayseri/Sepsi/Szeskzard); Winner Qualifiers Tournament 2 (Bourges/Schio/Valencia)

    According to draw regulations, a maximum of two clubs from the same country can be in the same Regular Season group for countries that have up to three clubs in total. Also, each group can have a maximum of two countries that are represented by two clubs each and, in case there are exactly two clubs from the same country, those clubs shall be drawn into different groups if possible.

    The two remaining places in the Regular Season will be determined in two round-robin Qualifiers tournaments of three clubs each, which have been confirmed to take place in Sfantu Gheorghe, Romania and Schio, Italy. 

    Romanian club ACS Sepsi-SIC will play host to Qualifiers Tournament 1 in Sfantu Gheorghe. In addition to the hosts, Hungarian club Atomeromu KSC Szekszard and Turkish club Kayseri Basketbol are also taking part in this tournament.

    Italian club Beretta Famila Schio will host Qualifiers Tournament 2 in Schio, with French side Tango Bourges Basket and Spanish club Valencia Basket being the other two participants. 

    The order of the games will be determined at the Draw.

    The EuroLeague Women Qualifiers will take place from September 21-23, with the start of the Regular Season scheduled for October 6.
