MUNICH (Germany) - The field for the EuroLeague Women 2020-21 Regular Season is set following the conclusion of the Qualifiers, with Izmit Belediyespor (TUR) and Spar Girona (ESP) winning their respective play-in games on Wednesday.

Paced by Clarissa Dos Santos and Erica Wheeler, the hosts of the Qualifiers bubble, Izmit Belediyespor, defeated Aluinvent DVTK Miskolc 85-68 to secure a spot in Group A alongside Dynamo Kursk (RUS), Nadezhda (RUS), Perfumerias Avenida (ESP).

Meanwhile, Spar Girona topped ACS Sepsi-Sic (ROU) 76-54 in the other fixture on the back of an excellent performance by Sonja Vasic, advancing to Group C of the Regular Season, which also includes UMMC Ekaterinburg, Famila Schio and TTT Riga.

The losing sides – Aluinvent DVTK Miskolc and ACS Sepsi-Sic – will continue their campaigns in EuroCup Women.

The Regular Season groups are as follows:

Following the format changes approved by the FIBA Europe Board in September, each of the groups will convene in single venue hubs twice over the course of the Regular Season.

The first of two hubs will take place from November 29 - December 5, 2020, with the second round of fixtures scheduled to be played from January 17-23, 2021.

The first locations for the Regular Season hubs were confirmed last week, with one of the Qualifiers winners Spar Girona set to host the November-December hub for Group C. Meanwhile, Fenerbahce (Istanbul, Turkey) and Sopron Basket (Sopron, Hungary) were approved as hosts of the tournaments for Group B and D, respectively.

The remaining announcements will follow shortly.

In order to protect the health and guarantee the safety of players, coaches and officials, as well as to safeguard a fair competition, and to properly organize game operations, all other phases of the competition will also be conducted in single venue hubs.

FIBA Europe will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation in Europe on a daily basis and communicate further updates regarding EuroLeague Women when necessary.
