EKATERINBURG (Russia) - Reigning EuroLeague Women champions UMMC Ekaterinburg have made a serious statement of intent after announcing they've signed Breanna Stewart for the rest of the season and also for the 2020-2021 campaign.

Looking to continue building their amazing dynasty, UMMC are out to land their sixth EuroLeague Women title and the addition of yet another global superstar will certainly make them favorites to do so.

It's a remarkable return for Stewart, who sustained a serious Achilles injury last year playing against UMMC in the Final of the competition with her former team Dynamo Kursk. She averaged 21.0 points, 7.9 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.4 blocks in the 2018-19 EuroLeague Women campaign, winning the Fans' MVP accolade.

Stewart only just recently returned to the court with USA at the FIBA Women's Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Belgrade, where she spoke about her recovery.

There are two weeks of the Regular Season remaining, with UMMC having already secured their place in the Quarter-Finals of the competition.
