MUNICH (EuroLeague Women) - With a Quarter-Finals slot coming rapidly into view, Sopron Basket have shored up the void left by Crystal Langhorne by capturing promising center, Alaina Coates.

Sopron have posted their best EuroLeague Women season in memory to grab home advantage in their three-game series against Fenerbahce, with much of their best work having been built around the contribution of Langhorne.

Yet despite being recognized as one of the stars of the Regular Season, the player and club parted ways, with Langhorne opting to leave as planned after the pre-scheduled games were completed.

That left Sopron bosses with a major headache and they have turned to Coates in a bid to refuel their ranks and ensure they will be competitive under the basket.

Coates has been out of action after sustaining a serious injury last year when she was the second pick in the 2017 WNBA draft. She enjoyed a hugely productive NCAA career with the University of South Carolina Gamecocks and expectations will be high she can enjoy her debut overseas on a contract that will extend until the end of Sopron's domestic season too.
