Ayayi takes MVP honors again as Bourges win French Cup
For the second time in her career, Valeriane Ayayi was named MVP of the French Cup after she led Bourges to an 82-70 triumph against Flammes Carolo Basket.
The winger followed up her award at the 2016 edition, with another gong as she fired 18 points, to just squeeze out her teammate Marine Johannes who tallied the same number of points.
Hoptrans-Sirenos celebrate thrilling LMKL Championship win
The Kaunas-based Hoptrans-Sirenos are revelling in their dramatic LMKL Championship title success after edging out Kibirkstis 72-73 in a dramatic conclusion to the season.
Trailing by 8 points in the early stages, they fought back to take the silverware in a team effort that witnessed four players making double digits. Meanwhile the loss was tough to take for Laura Juskaite, who had a stunning 34 points in defeat.
Polish Finals all set
Artego Bydgoszcz will face CCC Polkowice in the Polish Championship Finals after they won a fifth and deciding Semi-Finals encounter against the now former champions, Sleza Wroclaw. They completed a spectacular 85-54 victory thanks to a combined 37 points from Jennifer O'Neill and Denesha Stallworth.
CCC Polkowice were already assured of their spot in the title series after completing an impressive 3-0 sweep against fellow EuroLeague Women competitors, Wisla CANPACK.
Elsewhere in Europe
Italian giants Famila Schio were stunned by a 66-75 home-court loss to Dike Saces Mapei Napoli in the Semi-Finals, as Jacki Gemelos erupted for 26 points to level the series 1-1.
Perfumerias Avenida will contest their 13th straight Liga Femenina Finals as Brazilian, Erika Souza proved unstoppable in their Semi-Final series against Star Center Uni-Ferrol. It will be their familiar rivals Spar Citylift Girona who stand in their way once again.
TSV 1880 Wasserburg and Rutronik Stars Keltern will battle it out in Germany for the DBBL Championship title. The former crushed Herner 59-82 in the Semi-Finals to seal a sweep, with Maurita Reid dropping 21 points.
