    Petronyte powers to Top Performer honors

    MUNICH (EuroLeague Women) - Lithuanian center Gintare Petronyte saved the best for last on Wednesday evening, powering her way to Top Performer honors.

    MUNICH (EuroLeague Women) - Lithuanian center Gintare Petronyte saved the best for last on Wednesday evening, powering her way to Top Performer honors.

    Playing for Galatasaray in Wednesday's late game, Petronyte came up with 29 points and 11 rebounds for an efficiency of 35, as the Turkish powerhouse snuck out of Belgium with a 72-71 victory over Castors Braine.

    Joining her up front in this week's Top Performer team is Crystal Langhorne, her 20-point, 14-rebound double-double helping Sopron Basket stay on track with their head-turning start to the season. 

    Ana Dabovic produced another fine display for Fenerbahce, who caused the upset of the week by defeating UMMC Ekaterinburg 73-71 on the road. The Serbian shooting guard ended the night with 21 points, 3 rebounds, 6 assists and 2 steals.

    Dabovic is joined on the team by fellow FIBA EuroBasket Women 2015 champion Sonja Petrovic. It was another classy display from the forward, who took Dynamo Kursk to a comfortable 109-88 win over her former club, ZVVZ USK Praha, registering 21 points and 6 rebounds.

    Completing the Top Performer team is a player who his making her appearance, a regular occurrence, Courtney Vandersloot. This week the former Hungarian international recorded 16 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists as Yakin Dogu Universitesi came away from Perfumerias Avenida with a 67-62 win.
