MUNICH (EuroLeague Women) – The 2018 EuroLeague Women Final Four field has been set, with Sopron Basket claiming the last available spot, following the conclusion of the Quarter-Finals on Wednesday.
Defending champions Dynamo Kursk, fellow Russian powerhouse UMMC Ekaterinburg, and EuroLeague Women debutantes Yakin Dogu Universitesi, had already booked their tickets to the Final Four one week prior, after sweeping their respective best-of-three series.
With the away team winning in the first two games, the series between Sopron and Fenerbahce returned to Hungary for a third decisive game, with the home side this time pulling away for a 67-46 win to advance to the Final Four, for the first time since 2009.
In the Final Four Semi-Finals, Dynamo Kursk will take on UMMC Ekaterinburg, while Sopron Basket will face Yakin Dogu Universitesi.
The Semi-Finals are scheduled for April 20, with the Third-Place Game and Final capping off the season on April 22.
An announcement will be made later in March, in regards to which of the four contestants will host the Final Four.
