Dabovic to Fenerbahce and silverware for Avenida and Sopron

Fenerbahce turn to talents of Dabovic
Having already inked deals with a number of newcomers such as Kelsey Plum, Kia Vaughn and Aerial Powers, the influx at Fenerbahce is continuing after the Turkish giants announced they had captured Ana Dabovic.
The EuroBasket Women 2015 MVP, who also won a WNBA title last season at Los Angeles Sparks, previously played in EuroLeague Women way back in 2012 and has not featured since. She spent last season at Dynamo Moscow and will offer Fenerbahce a formidable scoring and creative presence.
Sopron win UMMC Cup
Sopron Basket spoiled the party of the home fans in Ekaterinburg at the DIVS Arena as they lifted the UMMC Cup by outlasting hosts UMMC 68-60. Lara Sanders continued her nice form after a summer switch from Agu Spor with a smart 12 points for the home side but it was MVP Jelena Milovanovic who starred with 21 points.
In the other game to take place on the final day of the pre-season tournament, there was joy for EuroCup Women side Udominate of Sweden who pipped EuroLeague Women competitors Nadezhda 58-57.
In addition to the MVP award handed to Jelena Milovanovic, Sandra Ygueravide and Ksenia Tikhonenko of Nadezhda were on the All-Star Five along with Natalia Vieru of UMMC, Aleksandra Crvendakic of Sopron and Hollie Mershon of Udominate.
Avenida grab some early silverware
Perfumerias Avenida showed they have the potential to cause some upsets this season after they scooped the Dr Suat Gunsel Cup in Cyprus which was hosted by reigning EuroCup Women champions and EuroLeague Women newcomers, Yakin Dogu Universitesi.
Avenida beat the host club 61-56 as Maria Asurmendi was named MVP of the competition that involved six clubs.
Avenida completed a trio of triumphs against Turkish opposition after delivering a 65-52 success against Galatasaray and beating Hatay 62-50.
Derby delight for Schio
Beretta Famila Schio enjoyed a pre-season tussle against local rivals Umana Reyer and took a nail-biting 57-54 road win against their EuroCup Women opponents. New signing Francesca Dotto led the way with 10 points.
