POLKOWICE (EuroLeague Women) – CCC Polkowice are one game away from safe passage to the EuroLeague Women Regular Season and barring a collapse against Piestanske Cajky on Friday night, they will meet their objective.
Having secured an eye-catching 71-46 road win in Slovak Republic earlier in the week, head coach George Dikeoulakos, who has only recently picked up the coaching reins, believes the extra class of his team showed.
He stated: "We went to play seriously and I believe that we showed we have more quality on the roster and that's why we won the [first] game.
"We were better in every quarter and now during this home game, we will want to take our agreed step into the EuroLeague Women Regular Season."

Theresa Plaisance starred for CCC Polkowice with 21 points and will be a threat when the teams do battle again. She was also quick to identify why the hosts are in such a strong position heading into the second leg.
"It was a good game for us and we had a very good performance and played like a team," stressed the forward.
"We did what our coach said and that was the key to our success."
As for the visitors, they will now try to put their home disappointment behind them, perhaps knowing that while not impossible, the first-leg result has given them a mountain to climb.
"It was big lesson for us, as Polkowice has a lot of experience," conceded Piestanske Cajky guard, Lenka Bartakova.
"We want to do a lot more better things within our team's concept and I hope we can play so much better in Polkowice," she added, ahead of Friday's matchup.
