    Eleftheria Moschatou, MBK Ruzomberok get moving strongly in the Qualifiers

    With the Turkish side having posted a commanding opening success against Sportiva Azoris Hotels on Wednesday, it was the turn of Eleftheria Moschatou and Ruzomberok to get onto the front foot in their respective ties.

    Zec shows her class for Eleftheria Moschatou

    Greek outfit Eleftheria Moschatou are eager to play their first EuroCup Women Regular Season campaign and they moved closer to that aim by beating CS Universitatea Cluj 62-47 on the road.

    Serbian Katarina Zec was the difference-maker as she claimed 22 points and 11 rebounds on Romanian soil. With the hosts struggling offensively, only Alexis Pana reached double-figures with 10 points for Cluj, also pulling down 13 boards.

    MBK Ruzomberok shutdown SBS Ostrava

    Slovakian side MBK Ruzomberok threw the defensive chains on SBS Ostrava to prevail 59-45 in their opening encounter and look destined to finish the job in the return game on their home court.

    A strong 18-11 opening got them in the ascendancy and they never looked back, helped by 17 points from Olha Yatskovets, while Hannah Little contributed 11 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for Ostrava.

    Antalya take strong step towards the Regular Season

    A three-pronged effort from veteran Kelsey Bone, guard Destanni Henderson and Turkish standout Ozge Kavurmacioglu propelled Antalya Toroslar BC to a one-sided 66-49 win against Sportiva Azoris Hotels.

    With just one basket separating the teams at the break, the home side put their foot on the gas after the break to ease away and give their opponents a mountain to climb in the second leg. Bone finished with a huge 20 points and 17 boards, Henderson also netted 20 points, while Kavurmacioglu put on an all-action show with 12 points, 8 assists and 7 boards.
