MUNICH (Germany) - There was joy for both Flammes Carolo Basket and Tarbes GB as they both took first leg road wins in the EuroCup Women Qualifiers on the opening night of the new campaign.

Flammes were far too hot to handle for Piestanske Cajky and the visitors claimed a 74-62 success on Slovakian soil to jump into the box-seat ahead of next week's reverse game.

Guard trio Tima Pouye, Amel Bouderra and Lisa Berkani all excelled in the contest, with Pouye top-scoring after netting 18 points, Bouderra handing out 10 assists and Berkani claiming 15 points from a 67% shooting effort.

Things could have been even more convincing had Piestansky Cajky not launched an impressive last quarter rescue mission to close a gap that had been as many as 21 at one point in the game. They gavce themselves a glimmer of hope thanks mainly to 18 points and 9 assists from Matea Tadic.

Tarbes GB exposed a gulf in class and depth when they blasted away newcomers House of Talents Spurs in Belgium. They completed a one-sided 96-41 victory in a huge team effort as six players returned double-digit scores, including an MVP display of 26 points from Julie Wojta, plus a classy 14 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists from Ana Tadic.
