Sepsi surprise Galatasaray and Cadi La Seu make history

ACS Sepsi certainly wrote the headlines as the Romanian side and their fans rejoiced in a highly impressive 78-62 victory against 2018 EuroCup Women champions Galatasaray. It was a real team effort with five players posting double-figure scoring returns, including Shae Marie Kelly who also had 10 boards.

It proved to e an important night for Cadi La Seu as the Spanish newcomers beat DVTK Miskolc by a convincing 94-72. Elin Jelena Gustavsson starred with a game-high 24 points.
The most dramatic contest of the night came in Turkey where Orman Genclik needed overtime to get it done.

They also required a massive 38 points from Arike Ogunbowale to get past CCC Polkowice and move to 2-0 with an 89-85 victory.
Hatay and Botas other Turkish clubs who benefited from majestic solo performances. Hatay breezed past MBK Ruzomberok 85-65 with Marica Gajic claiming a monumental double-double of 21 points and 20 rebounds, while Botas won 88-63 at KP Brno as Kelsey Mitchell dropped 33 points after making six of seven from downtown.
There were also home victories for Basket Landes and Lointek Gernika Bizkaia, while Carolo Basket, Artego Bydgoszcz and Elfic Fribourg all won away games.
