Standing in their way during the last eight of the tournament are a familiar foe, in the form of BLMA.
1. A three-point frenzy is never far away
Of the 16 teams who participated in EuroLeague Women this season, only one shot the ball better from long range (Sopron Basket) and only just. Carolo Basket shot almost 40 percent from long range and that continued three-point threat can always take away the game (and indeed, the tie) from an opponent very quickly. Interestingly, their prowess from downtown equals out one of BLMA's main upsides and that is interesting in terms of this next phase of the competition. The Carolo fans will be hoping their team can find the kind of range that saw them drop a staggering 15-of-22 from the perimeter against TTT Riga.
2. Home comforts
While not an absolute guarantee, you have to expect Carolo to be able to use their home game in a big way to push for silverware. Having never won a single EuroLeague Women game previously in what was their rookie season, they ended up with five wins on their own floor and can believe they can beat anyone after taking down the considerable might of Istanbul juggernauts Fenerbahce, as well as last year's Finalists Sopron Basket. Of course there are those who will point to their 0-7 road record as cause for major concern, but perhaps now they can finally get a victory on their travels. After all, they don't have to go far with domestic rivals Montpellier standing in front of them - and they won there on their previous French League visit. Even if their biggest loss at home was at the hands of BLMA in the LFB, it was way back at the start of the season.
3. Twin turbos of Peters and Lewis

While it is not a two-woman show for Carolo Basket by any means, there is no denying that Haley Peters and Kaleena Lewis have been the ones hitting hardest and have formed a devastating two-punch! So much so, Peters has been given a WNBA training contract at the Atlanta Dream and that is rich reward for having poured in a team high 17.6 points per game, while Lewis has shot the lights out from long range and netted a sparkling 54 percent of her shots. Their versatility is also priceless and any scouting report will have them both right at the top, underlined and with multiple exclamation marks.
