Spar Citylift Girona completed a highly impressive double against Virtus Eirene as they followed up their massive win in the first meeting against the Italians, with a 72-78 road win - much to the delight of head coach, Eric Suris.

He said: "We are really happy to advance to the Quarter-Finals as it's the first time in the club's history that we have been classified this highly.

"We had a 24-point advantage, but Ragusa has a really good team and so we needed to be able to control the game.

"The team worked really hard to win both in practice and during the 80 minutes [of the tie]. The road until now hasn't been easy, but we are doing a good job," added Suris.

One of the most exciting and explosive players in the competition is Hind Ben Abdelkader and she helped Hatay to storm past KSC Szekszard 98-65.

The Belgian guard caught fire and had 19 points in 21 minutes, with many observers now tipping Hatay to potentially go all of the way - even though they have to face the prospect of four EuroLeague Women clubs entering the competition.

There was also a rather special full-court assist from Barbara Ozturk!

It was bitter sweet for Reyer Venezia as they lost 63-73 at home to Good Angels Kosice, but they still advanced to the Quarter-Finals off the back of their massive road win on the first leg.

They will know they will have to sharpen up in the last 8 of the tournament if they want to continue carrying the flag for Italian basketball, now Ragusa have exited.

Finally it would not be a week of EuroCup Women this season without the traditional Mersin selfie.

This time it came in the wake of a hugely impressive win on their travels as they prevailed 86-84 at French side Flammes Carolo Basket.

The draw for the Quarter-Finals takes place Friday.
