MUNICH (EuroCup Women) - Hatay center Courtney Paris picked up from exactly where she left off, once more finding herself earning EuroCup Women Top Performer honors.

MUNICH (EuroCup Women) - Hatay center Courtney Paris picked up from exactly where she left off, once more finding herself earning EuroCup Women Top Performer honors.

Paris was a regular sight in the Top Performers last season, and if her Thursday night performance was anything to go by, this is set to continue in 2017/18. Her 23-point, 19-rebound showing saw Hatay romp to an 82-58 win over Slovakian outfit Piestanske Cajky.

In a Week 1 dominated by centers, the slightly more versatile Slovak international Anna Jurcenkova also made it into the Top Performers team, despite Good Angels Kosice going down 76-70 on the road to Mersin. Jurcenkova recorded 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks.

Rounding out the front court is Ana-Marija Begic, who was prolific in Umea Udominate's dominant 86-57 win over Sparta&K M.R. Vidnoje on Wednesday evening. The Croat international finished with 20 points and 14 rebounds.

Polish outfit Energa Torun made their intentions for this season clear, racing past ACS-Sepsi 84-69. There was a dominant performance from Agnieszka Skobel, who recorded 27 points and 8 rebounds for an efficiency of 35.

Joining Skobel in the backcourt is the left-handed Marcia Costa, who announced her arrival in EuroCup Women in fine style, racking up a 30-point, 10-rebound double-double to take GDESSA-Barreiro to an opening night victory.

Thanks to Costa's display, her Portuguese club were able to see off EuroCup Women regulars, Basketball Nymburk, 70-62.
