Senegal, Italy and Poland on Friday became the latest teams to book their places at the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019.
MIES (Switzerland) - Senegal, Italy and Poland on Friday became the latest teams to book their places at the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019.
It brings to 22 the number of teams now known for the first-ever 32-team edition of the World Cup.

Senegal became the fourth African country to book their place at China 2019 after cruising to an 81-41 defeat of Rwanda in Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire.

Italy rewarded the capacity crowd at Varese's historic Enerxenia Arena by putting on a defensive masterclass to power past Hungary 75-41 and return to the World Cup for the first time since 2006.

That result paved the way for Poland to end a 52-year absence at FIBA's flagship competition by beating Croatia 77-69 in Varazdin, Croatia.

Brazil were the first team to claim their place at the World Cup in this, the sixth and final window of the Qualifiers, when they beat Virgin Islands 104-80 on Thursday.
