    Puerto Rico bounce back with dominating performance over Nicaragua

    PANAMA (Centrobasket) – The team coached by Eddie Casiano stepped back into the court after a disappointing first game loss, and bounced back with a powerful and dominant win over Nicaragua, 98 – 57.

    • Turning Point: From the get-go the Boricuas established their game and went away on the scoreboard, after a 24-12 first quarter.

    • Stats don’t lie: Puerto Rico dominated the boards 53 – 37.

    • Game Hero: Ramon Clemente was the top performer for the Boricuas with a double-double, with 22 points and 10 rebounds.

    • The Bottom Line: From the get-go the Boricuas were too much for a Nicaraguan team that was overmatched in every position. Puerto Rico leveled its record at 1 and tomorrow will face Cuba. Meanwhile, Nicaragua will face the host, Panama.
