    • Turning Point: The Dominicans captured a 15-point lead in the third quarter, but the team of the Virgin Islands discounted from the Dominican advantage and got within six points of the opponent during the fourth quarter. Melvyn Lopez's team stayed calm and closed the match in their favor.

    • Stats don’t lie: The Dominicans dominated the rebounds, 44-36.

    • Game Hero: Angel Delgado was the top scorer for the Dominicans with 21 points.
