Mitch McCarron is returning to the Boomers lineup after serving as campaign of the FIBA Asia Cup 2022 gold medal squad where he was also named the All-Star Five. Sam Froling and Rhys Vague joins McCarron as reigning Asia Cup champions who is rostered to play in Window 4.

For Froling and McCarron, it will be their third straight Boomers call up in three months where the team has gone undefeated since Window 3.

Five players, including McCarron, from the Asia Cup 2017 championship squad are lined up here for Window 4. Highlighting the list is Tokyo Olympics bronze medalist Nick Kay alongside Angus Brandt, Todd Blanchfield, and Mitch Norton. All five Asia Cup 2017 champions have played in the World Cup 2023 Asian Qualifiers except for Norton who can make his first appearance in this window.

The 56th pick of the NBA Draft 2022, Luke Travers, could make his Boomers debut in this window. The former Croc from the U17 World Cup 2018 and U16 Asian Championship 2018 squads averaged 12.1 points and 7.4 rebounds per game across both competitions. Another youth national team standout, Dejan Vasiljevic, is also lined up to make his first appearance as a Boomer as well.

Mike Kelly will continue to coach the Boomers in this window after leading the team to a gold medal in Jakarta, joined by Robbie McKinlay and Jamie Pearlman as the coaching staff.

Australia's first game of the window will be in Bahrain against Bahrain on August 25 before they return home to play against Iran on August 29 in Bendigo.

"Our last two performances in Melbourne and Jakarta were really solid, I look forward to working with this group of players who have made themselves available for these games. Bendigo is a great basketball town and you know that whenever the Boomers set foot on the court you will get a physical encounter so the fans have a lot to look forward to," said Kelly.

Australia finished the First Round of the Asian Qualifiers undefeated with a 6-0 record and will look to keep that going as a part of Group F in the Second Round.
