    Tributes paid to Patrick Baumann during fifth window of World Cup Qualifiers

    Players, teams, officials and fans all around the world honored the memory of FIBA Secretary General Patrick Baumann during the fifth window of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 Qualifiers.

    MIES (FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019) - Players, teams, officials and fans all around the world honored the memory of FIBA Secretary General Patrick Baumann during the fifth window of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 Qualifiers.

    Across all four regions, a moment of silence was observed prior to games tipping off as a sign of respect for Mr Baumann. The Secretary General of FIBA since 2002 and a member of the International Olympic Committee, he passed away at the age of 51 on October 13.
