The Top Gunners of the Asian Qualifiers' Fourth Window

BEIRUT (FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 Asian Qualifiers) - There are plenty of marquee marksmen in the Asian Qualifiers, but only a handful have been able to distinguish themselves as the top gunners.

BEIRUT (FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 Asian Qualifiers) - There are plenty of marquee marksmen in the Asian Qualifiers, but only a handful have been able to distinguish themselves as the top gunners of the fourth window.

These are the top five three-point shooters who really lit up the scoreboards for their respective squads in the previous window, and their shooting prowess will certainly be on display again when Asian Qualifiers action resumes next month.

    Lee JungHyun (Korea)

    - 7 triples in the fourth window, shooting 53.8% from beyond the arc.
JungHyun is the steady perimeter weapon that Korea can call at a moment's notice and be confident he will produce. He was a picture of consistency in the fourth window, hitting 3 triples against Jordan and then sinking 4 against Syria. Overall, he averages 3.2 three-pointers made per contest in the Asian Qualifiers, and he has tallied at least 2 triples in all but one of Korea's games so far. There is no doubt he will be a marked man when they play Lebanon and Jordan in the fifth window.

    Tai Webster (New Zealand)

    - 6 triples in the fourth window, shooting 54.5% from beyond the arc.
The younger of the Webster siblings may have struggled with his shot against Lebanon in their second fourth window match, but he definitely lit up like a firecracker in their first encounter opposite Syria. The 23-year-old shooter who plies his trade for Galatasaray Spor Kulubu in Turkey nailed 5 triples in their win over the Syrians, serving notice that he is maybe the most potent outside threat the Tall Blacks have.

    Wu Qian (China)

    - 5 triples in the fourth window
Wu is really more of a volume shooter, but making 5 three-pointers in just 2 games is still nothing to scoff at. The 6ft 3in (1.90m) shooting guard is averaging 1.8 three-pointers per game overall, and he is one of the reasons the inside opens up for China's big men to operate. He torched Lebanon with 3 triples in their first fourth window assignment before notching 2 treys in a big win over Jordan.

    Behnam Yakhchali (Iran)

    - 5 triples in the fourth window, shooting 35.7% from beyond the arc
The heir apparent to Hamed Afagh continues to shoot the lights out for Team Melli. He was tried against the Filipinos, hitting just 1-of-4 from three-point land, but he bounced back against Japan, making 4 threes in a losing cause. This 23-year-old continues to blossom for Iran, and don't be surprised if he makes an even bigger splash when the fourth window tips off in November.

    Jeon JunBeom (Korea)

    - 4 triples in the fourth window, shooting 44.4% from beyond the arc
Are you surprised that another Korean is on this list? You shouldn't be. Korea are the second-best three-point shooting team in the Asian Qualifiers left still standing right behind New Zealand, and a big reason for that is that up and down their roster, practically anybody can shoot the three. Jeon is no exception. He is, in fact, one of their sharpest shooters. He has made at least two triples in all but one of his Asian Qualifiers appearances, and will still be among the finest snipers for Korea moving forward.
