AMMAN (Jordan) - Iran is the fourth team confirmed to qualify for FIBA Asia Cup 2021 after a win over Qatar, 84-46.

They join Lebanon and Bahrain as teams to have qualified through the first-ever Asia Cup Qualifiers while Indonesia is also qualified as hosts of the event.

This leaves 12 spots that will be still up for grabs for the premier event in Jakarta later this year.

The top two teams in each Group at the end of the Asia Cup Qualifiers will clinch direct qualification to the Asia Cup, as Lebanon, Bahrain, and Iran have. The remaining spots will be secured through the Qualifying Tournament for Third Place teams.
