Dates and venue of the FIBA Asia Cup 2021 Pre-Qualifiers (Eastern Region) announced

BEIRUT (FIBA Asia Cup 2021 Pre-Qualifiers) – The FIBA Asia Cup 2021 Pre-Qualifiers (Eastern Region) will be held in Bangkok, Thailand from 27 November to 4 December 2018. 

The top five teams from the SEABA and EABA sub-zones will be participating, joined by two teams from Oceania.

The five SEABA and EABA teams are:  Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia (SEABA) and Macau (sole team from East Asia sub-zone). The two Oceania teams are Fiji and Guam.

Pre-Qualifiers will also be held for the Western Region, the dates and venue of which will be announced shortly. 

Thereafter, the top four top teams each from these Eastern and Western Region Pre-Qualifiers will join the 16 FIBA Asia Cup 2017 teams to make a total of 24 teams to play the FIBA Asia Cup 2021 Qualifiers which will tip-off in November 2019 after the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019.
