BANGKOK, Thailand (FIBA Asia U18 Championship for Women 2016) - Indonesia and Malaysia won promotion to Level I after beating India and Thailand respectively at the FIBA Asia U18 Championship for Women

BANGKOK, Thailand (FIBA Asia U18 Championship for Women 2016) - Indonesia and Malaysia won promotion to Level I after beating India and Thailand respectively at the FIBA Asia U18 Championship for Women 2016 in Bangkok, Thailand on Saturday.

Down by seven points, both Indonesia and Malaysia mounted astonishing comebacks to win the all-important Level one promotion.

For India and Thailand, the loss means they’re now relegated to Level II for the next edition.

Indonesia, who won all of the five games prior to this, needed a strong fourth quarter run to condemn India to their sixth defeat at FIBA Asia U18 Championship for Women 2016, consequently relegating them to Level II.

Everything was going out well for India until the start of the fourth quarter. In the final ten minutes, India managed to score only 3 points, while Indonesia, led by Lea Wolobobu, scored 21 points.
