BANGKOK, Thailand (FIBA Asia U18 Championship for Women 2016) – Chinese Taipei bounced back from their horror show against Korea by beating India On Tuesday, 80-46.

Wang Jing-Ting scored 11 of her 14 points in the first half, when Chinese Taipei took control of the game.

Turning point: India were leading 7-6 midway through the first quarter, but Chinese Taipei scored 9 unanswered points to take the lead and cruise after that.

Stats don’t lie: Taipei showed some good teamwork with 16 assists compared to India’s 5. The East Asian’s also locked up their defense tight, forcing their opponents to commit 25 turnovers of which they scored 34 points

Game hero: Despite not leading her team in scoring, captain Peng Hsiao-Tong led by example, scoring 7 points, 8 assists, 6 steals and 6 rebounds.

The bottom line: Chinese Taipei, who lost 80-46, in their last game against Korea 70-38, are now 1-2 in Level I while India now have lost three games and with tough games coming up against Korea and Japan, they don’t seem likely to break into the win column.
