China select four players with past U17 Worlds experience

All four players have played at the FIBA U17 World Championship with Fan and Wang Zixu appearing at the 2014 edition while Wang Yibo and Wu were on the side that finished 10th earlier this month.

After playing at the 2013 FIBA Asia U16 Championship, Wang Zixu averaged 4.9 points and 1.3 rebounds at Dubai 2014 while Fan collected 2 points, 2 rebounds and 1 assist in 18 minutes over five games two summers ago.
Wang Yibo and Wu both played at the 2015 FIBA Asia U16 Championship and then teamed together in Zaragoza at the 2016 FIBA U17 Worlds.
Wang Yibo will use his U17 Worlds experience at FIBA Asia U18s.
Fan and Wang Yibo both participated in the 2016 Basketball Without Borders Global Camp in Toronto.
China go into the 2016 FIBA Asia U18 Championship as record 11-time champions, including winners of the last three editions - all in undefeated fashion.
The top three finishers at the FIBA Asia U18s, which runs from 22-31 July in Tehran, will qualify for the 2017 FIBA U19 World Championship.
