    BENGALURU (FIBA U16 Women's Asia Championship 2017) - The Division B Final is all set after Malaysia upended Iran and India crushed Kazakhstan in the Semi-Finals.

    BENGALURU (FIBA U16 Women's Asia Championship 2017) - The Division B Final is all set after Malaysia upended Iran and India crushed Kazakhstan in the Semi-Finals.

    Malaysia used a big third quarter surge to put some significant separation against Iran and won, 85-68. Things were close in the entire first half, with the SEABA side leading by a hair, 35-34, at the break. Malaysia exploded for 28 points in the third quarter, though, leaving the Iranians with a double-digit hole from which they would not recover. Tricia Ng had a huge game with 8 points, 18 rebounds and 3 blocks for Malaysia, which also got 22 points from Tan Lai Toong. Fatemeh Ghazvini led Iran with 25 points.

    The second Semi-Final had India completely dominating Kazakhstan, 77-40. Kazakhstan stayed within striking distance after one period, but India broke the game open by outscoring the CABA side, 27-9, in the second quarter. Vaishnavi Yadav's 21 points, 15 rebounds, 7 assists and 3 steals was the best stat-line of the game. The hosts did not allow any Kazakh player to score more than 6 points.

    In the classification game, Nepal shot Maldives down, 72-32. Nepal will face Sri Lanka today for fifth place, while Maldives fall to seventh place.

    India will play Malaysia for promotion to Divisino A at stake. Iran and Kazakhstan will dispute third place today.


    RESULTS:

    Nepal beat Maldives, 72-32

    Malaysia beat Iran, 85-68

    India beat Kazakhstan, 77-40
