CHENZHOU (FIBA Asia Champions Cup 2016) - Explosive Al Riyadi import Dewarick Spencer was named Most Valuable Player of the FIBA Asia Champions Cup 2016 after being one of the most consistently productive players throughout the competition.

Spencer had 19 points, 12 assists and 7 rebound sin the Final, but it was not enough as Al Riyadi were defeated by China Kashgar, 96-88. Spencer normed 21.7 points, 4.3 assists, 4.1 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game while shooting 55.0% from the field.

The 34-year-old shooting guard headlines an All-Star Five that also includes fellow Al Riyadi player Fadi El Khatib, Al Ahli’s Samuel Young and China Kashgar’s two imports — Andray Blatche and Darius Adams.

Blatche and Adams combined to score 41 points in the Final to propel China Kashgar to the country’s first title since 1998. Fadi tallied 23 points for Al Riyadi in the loss, while Young scored 43 points in the battle for third place earlier in the day.
