    Canada unveiled its 12-player roster for start of AmeriCup 2021 Qualifiers

    Canada Basketball announced today its 12-player roster for their games against the Dominican Republic, during the first window of the FIBA AmeriCup 2021 Qualifiers.

    TORONTO (Canada) – Canada Basketball announced today its 12-player roster for their games against the Dominican Republic, during the first window of the FIBA AmeriCup 2021 Qualifiers.

    On February 21, the Canadians will receive the Dominican team at the Tribute Communities Center in Oshawa, Ontario, then they will have to travel to Santo Domingo to play as visitors, on the 24th.

    “It is always a great honour to represent Canada,” said head coach Gordie Herbert. “We’re looking forward to facing the Dominican Republic in a home-and-away series which will be a great experience for us as a team. Rowan Barrett, Michael Meeks and David Grundman have done a great job assembling a terrific group and we hope that Canadian fans will come out next Friday and support our players who are proudly representing this country.”

    Canada is in Group C with Cuba, the Dominican Republic and the Virgin Islands. The top three of the group will qualify to the FIBA AmeriCup 2021.
