CORDOBA (FIBA AmeriCup 2017) - The United States’ coach, Jeff Van Gundy, talked about the 81-76 victory against Argentina, a score that proclaimed them champions of the FIBA AmeriCup 2017.

“I want to thank the people of Argentina for the way they reacted to the game, for the show they put up. Argentina is a great team. They won the first half, but on the second half, the individual actions, the collective game and the outstanding performance of the MVP (Jameel Warney) were vital to reverse the score.”

“We took this championship very seriously, both in Uruguay and Argentina. We wanted to do something big and we did it. We always had a positive attitude and it showed at the end,” concluded the United States Head Coach.
