    Rivera and Bryan Diaz highlight Puerto Rico’s final list for AmeriCup 2017

    Puerto Rico will travel to Medellin, Colombia, to be part of Group B and will begin the continental championship against Mexico on August 25. The team will then face Colombia and Brazil.

    SAN JUAN (FIBA AmeriCup 2017) – Coach Eddie Casiano announced the 12 players that will represent Puerto Rico at the FIBA AmeriCup 2017.

    “From this group, I like the youth, the desire, the way they want to learn and the way they work every day. There is speed, there is strength. We can play in different ways. The most important thing is that there is a lot of energy, and the desire to improve," said coach Eddie Casiano.

    International experienced Carlos Rivera, Mike Rosario, Gilberto Clavell, Carlos Lopez and Jorge Bryan Diaz will lead a team, that features 8 players making their international debut with the National Team.

    Puerto Rico will travel to Medellin, Colombia, to be part of Group B and will begin the continental championship against Mexico on August 25. The team coached by Eddie Casiano will then face Colombia and Brazil to close out the group phase.

    The Boricuas will need to win the preliminary group to advance to the Semi-Finals of the competition on September 2. The AmeriCup Final will be played on September 3.
