    The eight national federations will compete at the Obras Sanitarias stadium, also known as the "Temple of Rock".

    Brazil, Venezuela and the host, Argentina, achieved their qualification after medaling at the FIBA South American U17 Championship, while Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic and Belize did the same in the FIBA Centrobasket U17 Championship. The United States and Canada will represent North America.

    The United States are the reigning FIBA AmeriCup U18 champions after being crowned in the 2022 edition in Mexico. Cam Withmore, who now plays for the NBA’s Houston Rockets, was named Most Valuable Player of the tournament. Other members of the US team now in the NBA are Anthony Black (Orlando Magic) and G.G. Jackson (Memphis Grizzlies).

    The top four teams from the FIBA ​​U18 AmeriCup will qualify for the FIBA ​​U19 Basketball World Cup 2025.
