Eight teams jostle for the four remaining Quarter-Final spots of #AfroCan 2019

BAMAKO (Mali) - The Palais des Sports Salamatou Maiga will become beehive of activities on Tuesday as eight of the twelve nations taking part in the inaugural edition of the FIBA AfroCan continue their quest for a place in the Quarter-Finals.

Morocco vs Guinea

This is a match that is pretty difficult to predict the outcome as both sides boast of impressive statistics.

Soufiane Kourdou (MAR) - 14.5PPG, 4RPG, 1.5APG
Bachir Bella Diallo (GUI) - 11.5PPG, 9.5RPG, 1.5APG, 3SPG

Top Stats:

Morocco  looks more potent in offense with a record of 69.0PPG, 55.4% from the free throw line and 42.0RPG to Guinea's 57.5PPG, 66.7% in free throw and 43.0RPG. 

Algeria vs Nigeria 

From available record Algeria appears the better side but at this stage where it's like starting the competition afresh anything can happen.

Top Stats:

Algeria with intimidating statistics could be seen as the favorites with 76.5PPG, 39.5RPG and 69.6% in free throw to Nigeria 62.0PPG, 35.0RPG and 61.9% from the charity line.

Egypt vs Chad

 
Chad may have finished in their Group C preliminary campaign without a win but they look more daring on offense which should be a sort of worry for the Egyptian side.

Michael Koibe (CHD) - 17.5PPG, 7.5RPG

Top Stats:

Egypt have recorded 76.0PPG, 41.5RPG, and 62.7% from the free throw line compare with 79.0PPG, 36.5RPG, 51.4% free throw  for Chad.

Kenya vs Cote d'Ivoire

The outcome of this match-up is difficult to predict as both sides have players who know what to do on both end of the court.

Kenya had the upper hand in offense with 73.0PPG and 62.7% from the free throw line compare with Cote d'Ivoire's 69.0PPG and 54.3% in free throw. But the Ivorians had better understanding of the board with 47.0RPG to Kenya's 38.5RPG.

The four winners will join Angola, Democratic Republic of Congo, Mali and Tunisia in Quarter-Finals of the championship.
